Betagen is DMK’s “emergency cream.” Like Contraderm, this nourishing cream reduces inflammation, soothes hypersensitivity, heals, protects, and rebuilds damaged skin. In addition, it stimulates cell renewal, strengthens the Langerhans cells, and improves the skin’s immune response, providing an environment where skin cells can function more effectively. This formulation also protects against free radical damage.
Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Shea)
A triglyceride fatty acid-dominant concentrate from the shea tree. Stearic and oleic acid help seal in moisture, prevent TEWL, reduce irritation, soften wrinkles, and smooth rough texture. In addition, this ingredient treats inflammatory conditions like burns, eczema, and psoriasis. Shea is wound healing, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and contains biocompatible phytosterols, triterpenes, and tocopherols. It also offers some natural UV protection.
Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil (Safflower)
An oil with concentrated linoleic acid, which is a structural component of cell membranes and maintains epidermal water levels. It is lightweight, easily absorbed, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and a melanin inhibitor. With its high vitamin E content, safflower reduces the signs of photoaging and oxidative stress while softening and providing skin conditioning and lubricating properties.
Beta-glucan
Beta-glucan is a hydrating polysaccharide that nourishes Langerhans cells. It is an immune-boosting active chemical extracted from the cell walls of certain yeasts. On its own, beta-glucan is a film-forming humectant and anti-inflammatory ingredient that protects from UV-induced erythema and environmental damage. However, when utilized by the Langerhans cells, beta-glucan reinforces the skin's immune function and strengthens the defense system and response capabilities. It also aids wound healing, repairs signs of extrinsic aging, hydrates, maintains cell health, and restores barrier function.

How do I use Betagen?
Apply a pea-sized amount to face and neck after serums have fully absorbed. Use upward, outward motions. Suitable for morning and evening use.
Can this help with rosacea-related redness?
Products tagged for redness are formulated with soothing, anti-inflammatory ingredients that can help calm reactive skin. For diagnosed rosacea, we recommend consulting with a dermatologist to build a comprehensive routine alongside these products.
Why are some DMK products only available in-salon?
DMK's enzyme-based treatments are designed to work at a professional level, requiring proper skin assessment and application guidance from a trained therapist. This ensures safe, effective results — particularly for complex concerns like acne scarring, pigmentation, and skin revision. Contact us to book a consultation.
How often should I use this cream?
Use twice daily as the final step of your routine (before SPF in the morning). Your skin may need a richer formula at night.
