Crème Citrique

Creme Citrique is a slightly acidic cream designed for darker complexions, skin that needs brightening, and mild sebum reduction. This cream will lighten pigmentation to help balance skin tone and prevent pigmentation from forming.

Glycine Soja Oil (Soybean)

Soybean oil contains antioxidants, linoleic acid, oleic acid, vitamin E, and vitamin K. This ingredient reduces TEWL, helps restore the skin barrier, nourishes the skin, is photoprotective, and neutralizes free radicals.

Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil (Safflower)

An oil with concentrated linoleic acid, which is a structural component of cell membranes and maintains epidermal water levels. It is lightweight, easily absorbed, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and a melanin inhibitor. With its high vitamin E content, safflower reduces the signs of photoaging and oxidative stress while softening and providing skin conditioning and lubricating properties.

3-0-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid

Water- and oil-soluble ethyl ascorbic acid provides all the benefits of vitamin C in a more stable form. It is an antioxidant, brightens the skin and inhibits tyrosinase, boosts collagen synthesis, increases fibroblast proliferation, supports wound healing, reduces inflammation, helps ‘recycle’ vitamin E, smooths rough texture, decreases photodamage, and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Kojic Acid

This chelation (binding) agent suppresses melanin production and brightens hyperpigmentation. Kojic acid inhibits tyrosinase. Over time, it evens skin tone by affecting melanocytes’ ability to transfer pigment to skin cells.

Halidrys Siliquosa Extract

A type of brown algae that suppresses hyperpigmentation. Halidrys Siliquosa protects the dermal matrix by inhibiting enzymes that break down elastin and collagen. Itis also a potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and free radical scavenging extract with unique compounds that protect against UV damage.

Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E)

The most bioadaptable™ form of vitamin E and a powerful antioxidant. Tocopheryl acetate strengthens the skin's barrier function, protects the skin barrier-lipid balance, and reduces TEWL. It is also softening, anti-inflammatory, and photoprotective, preventing keratinocyte “sunburn cell” formation and lipid peroxidation after UV exposure.

Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Oil (Bitter Orange)

This essential oil is antimicrobial, antifungal, antioxidant, and stabilizes emulsions. Citrus peel oils naturally contain limonene, a carrier molecule that helps active ingredients better permeate the skin. It is what gives this formula its bright fragrance.

Beta-carotene

A carotenoid stored in the skin and a precursor to vitamin A. Beta-carotene protects from environmental, oxidative, and UV-induced damage, inhibiting immunosuppression and erythema caused by UV exposure. Beta-carotene also protects collagen and linoleic acid in cell membranes from damage caused by ROS.

Panthenol (Pro-vitamin B5)

A humectant and emulsifier that balances oil production and inhibits the proliferation of skin microbes. Panthenol aids in tissue repair, collagen production, barrier function, and the synthesis and metabolism of lipids. It is converted to pantothenic acid, which is naturally found in skin and hair, and required for normal epithelial function.

1. Cleanse skin and apply drops, serums, and oils as directed.
2. Dispense 2-3 pumps of Créme Citrique and dab onto the face, neck, and décolleté.
3. Spray liberally with Herb & Mineral Mist or prescribed DMK spray and work into the skin until combined and absorbed.
4. During the day, apply a DMK Sunscreen as the final step.

Darker complexions, or freckled skin with naturally copious oil flow. This formula is also an option for clients with mild to infrequent breakouts who do not require Acu Moist and want more pigment balancing action.
