Oleic Acid
An omega-9 fatty acid that permeates the skin's surface to replenish lost moisture and prevent TEWL. Oleic acid is an antioxidant-rich and antiinflammatory oil that promotes wound healing and offsets free radical damage and oxidative stress. It also strengthens cell membranes, rebalances skin lipids, and soothes inflamed skin conditions.
Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (Sunflower)
Sunflower seed oil has beneficial wound healing and skin-nourishing properties. It is a lightweight oil rich in fatty acids, plant sterols, vitamin E, minerals, and squalene. These concentrations are anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, photoprotective, and restorative for elastin and the skin barrier.
Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil (Safflower Oil)
An oil with concentrated linoleic acid, which is a structural component of cell membranes and maintains epidermal water levels. It is lightweight, easily absorbed, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and a melanin inhibitor. With its high vitamin E content, safflower reduces the signs of photoaging and oxidative stress while softening and providing skin conditioning and lubricating properties.
Glyceryl Stearate SE
Naturally found in the human body, glyceryl stearate is an emulsifier that easily permeates the skin. It softens and smooths the skin while providing a barrier to slow TEWL. SE indicates that this is a self-emulsifying form that contains a small amount of sodium or potassium stearate.
Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut)
An occlusive oil made of medium-chain fatty acids that is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and slow to oxidize. Coconut oil can speed wound healing by influencing various aspects of biological activity, including fibroblast proliferation, neovascularization, and reducing lipid peroxidation. Due to its occlusive characteristics, coconut oil improves barrier function and decreases TEWL.
Glycine Soja Oil (Soybean)
Soybean oil contains antioxidants, linoleic acid, oleic acid, vitamin E, and vitamin K. This ingredient reduces TEWL, helps restore the skin barrier, nourishes the skin, is photoprotective, and neutralizes free radicals.
Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil (Rosemary)
Rosemary stimulates and improves circulation, is antioxidant and antimicrobial, and inhibits lipid peroxidation.
Ophiopogon Japonicus Root Extract (Japanese Lily)
A fragrant, humectant skin conditioner.
- Cleanse skin and apply drops, serums, oils, sprays, and creams as directed.
- Dispense 2 pumps of Hydroloc and dab onto the face, neck, and décolleté.
- Wet fingers with warm water and massage into the skin, adding more Hydroloc or water as needed, until absorbed.
- During the day, apply a DMK Sunscreen as the final step.
Prescribe to clients with genetically lipid-dry skin, flaky skin, sunburn, or eczema. Also for skin with xerosis (dry skin), irritation, scaliness, or pruritus (itching).
This cream is great for post-menopausal lipid-dry skin, cold, windy areas, preventing chapped skin, seasonal changes, travel, arid climates, high altitude, snow-prone regions, or as a post-sunburn skin soothing cream.
