Melanotech Créme is a tone balancing formula for those exhibiting, or prone to, hyperpigmentation. It has many inhibitors and active ingredients that prevent and reduce melanin production. This cream also contains phytochemical compounds that are photoprotective and work to inhibit inflammation, further reducing pigmentation triggers.
Glycyrrhiza Uralensis Root Extract (Licorice)
Licorice is a cooling skin conditioner that calms irritation and redness. It is a natural extraction containing flavonoids that inhibit inflammation, lighten pigmentation, and counteract oxidative stress. Licorice also improves hydration, suppleness, and turgidity by preserving the skin's hyaluronic acid content.
Kojic Acid
This chelation (binding) agent suppresses melanin production and brightens hyperpigmentation. Kojic acid inhibits tyrosinase. Over time, it evens skin tone by affecting melanocytes’ ability to transfer pigment to skin cells.
Morus Alba Bark Extract (White Mulberry)
Aproven skin brightener and tone balancer, mulberry is typically combined with other ingredients to create a potent cocktail of skin-lightening agents. Mulberry inhibits tyrosinase and has several biocompatible compounds that are antioxidant, antimicrobial, soothing, free radical scavenging, and anti-inflammatory.
Halidrys Siliquosa Extract
A type of brown algae that suppresses hyperpigmentation. Halidrys Siliquosa protects the dermal matrix by inhibiting enzymes that break down elastin and collagen. Itis also a potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and free radical scavenging extract with unique compounds that protect against UV damage.
Aminoethylphosphinic Acid
A pigment lightener that works by blocking and preventing melanin formation. Itis used with tyrosinase inhibitors and other pigmentreducing ingredients to boost effectiveness.
Olus Oil
A blend of oleic and linoleic fatty acids with vitamin E. Derived from vegetables, olus oil gives formulas a long-lasting silky feel while acting as an emollient and skin conditioner.
Cananga Odorata Flower Oil (Ylang Ylang)
A tropical floral oil that is highly fragrant. Ylang Ylang can regulate oil production and has antibacterial and antioxidant properties.
- Cleanse skin and apply drops, serums, and oils as directed.
- Dispense 2-3 pumps of Melanotech Créme and dab onto the face, neck, and décolleté.
- Spray liberally with Herb & Mineral Mist or prescribed DMK spray and work into the skin until combined and absorbed.
- During the day, apply a DMK Sunscreen as the final step.
