A hydrating and rebalancing cream for inflamed cystic acne and congested skin. Spreads evenly and prevents TEWL without feeling heavy or greasy. Acu Moist supports wound healing, barrier repair, and topical essential fatty acid supplementation. It also provides mineral sunscreen protection with the inclusion of zinc oxide.
Zine Oxide
An anti-inflammatory mineral used in the body for protein synthesis, immune system support, and enzyme function. It is used topically to treat acne, rosacea, wounds, eczema, and other inflammatory skin conditions. Zinc Oxide is astringent, antimicrobial, reduces sebum levels, and protects as a broad-spectrum UVA and UVB filter and sunscreen agent.
Glyceryl Stearate
Naturally found in the human body, glyceryl stearate is an emulsifier that easily permeates the skin. It softens and smooths the skin while providing a barrier to slow TEWL.
Allantoin
Naturally found in the body, allantoin is mildly keratolytic (breaks down keratin) and encourages desquamation and cell regeneration. Allantoin locks moisture into the extracellular matrix, accelerates healing, and reduces hypersensitivity, making it ideal for distressed skin. It is found in plants like chamomile and treats dry skin, burns, acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and allergies. It also absorbs the UV spectrum, protecting cell DNA.
Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil (Safflower)
An oil with concentrated linoleic acid, which is a structural component of cell membranes and maintains epidermal water levels. It is lightweight, easily absorbed, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and a melanin inhibitor. With its high vitamin E content, safflower reduces the signs of photoaging and oxidative stress while softening and providing skin conditioning and lubricating properties.
- Cleanse skin and apply drops, serums, and oils as directed.
- Dispense 2-3 pumps of Acu Moist and dab onto the face, neck, and décolleté.
- Spray liberally with Herb & Mineral Mist or prescribed DMK spray and work into the skin until combined and absorbed.
Prescribe for inflamed acne, deeply congested skin, and excessively oily skin. Also a good option for individuals not accustomed to using or who do not like the feel of creams.
How do I use Acu Moist?
Apply a pea-sized amount to face and neck after serums have fully absorbed. Use upward, outward motions. Suitable for morning and evening use.
What is the difference between dry and dehydrated skin?
Dry skin lacks oil (lipids) and is a skin type. Dehydrated skin lacks water and is a temporary condition that any skin type can experience. You may need both hydrating ingredients (like hyaluronic acid) and moisturising ingredients (like ceramides or squalane) to address both.
Why are some DMK products only available in-salon?
DMK's enzyme-based treatments are designed to work at a professional level, requiring proper skin assessment and application guidance from a trained therapist. This ensures safe, effective results — particularly for complex concerns like acne scarring, pigmentation, and skin revision. Contact us to book a consultation.
How often should I use this cream?
Use twice daily as the final step of your routine (before SPF in the morning). Your skin may need a richer formula at night.
