DMK’s BP Lotions are water-based formulas used for treating areas of acne lesions or underlying congestion and comedones. Benzoyl peroxide attacks congestion in multiple ways, making it an effective solution for clearing existing acne and preventing future breakouts. BP is lipophilic and permeates the skin to clear out congested follicles and pores. It is comedolytic, antiseptic, reduces bacteria, provides protection as a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent, and has some mild anti-inflammatory benefits.

How to use
- Apply a thin layer twice daily on acne and congested areas that have been cleansed with DMK Acne
Wash. - Follow with a thin layer of DMK Acu Moist or Acu Creme.
Designed for clients with oily skin that need to get acne and congestion under control quickly.
Also prescribe in instances where treatment with salicylic acid is contraindicated.

How do I use Benzoyl Peroxide 5 (BP-5)?
After cleansing, apply to a cotton pad or press directly into skin with fingertips. Allow to absorb before applying serums or moisturiser.
Will this cause purging or breakouts?
Products with active ingredients like retinol, AHAs, or BHAs may cause a temporary purging phase as they accelerate cell turnover. This typically lasts 4-6 weeks and differs from a breakout — purging occurs in areas where you normally get spots and resolves on its own.
