Why is vitamin C important in skincare?
Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that neutralises free radical damage from UV exposure and pollution. It brightens skin tone, fades dark spots, and supports collagen production. For best results, use in the morning under SPF — they work synergistically to protect your skin.
What should I avoid mixing with vitamin C?
Vitamin C works best applied alone in the morning before SPF. Avoid layering with retinol or strong acids in the same routine — use them at different times of day. Niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and SPF are excellent companions for vitamin C.
At what age should I start using anti-ageing products?
Prevention is easier than correction. Most dermatologists recommend starting a basic anti-ageing routine (antioxidants, SPF, and a gentle retinol) in your mid-to-late twenties. However, it is never too late to start — the skin responds to active ingredients at any age.
